By car. from Venezia, take the Venezia-Belluno Autostrada to Pieve di Cadore, and then follow the indications for Sappada. From Austria or Udine, take the Udine-Tarvisio Autostrada to the Carnia Toll-station and follow the indications for Villa Santina and Forni Avoltri (aproximately 45 kilometers).

For those arriving by train, take the train to the Calalzo Train Station at the end of the line from Venezia e Padova. If arriving from Austria or Udine, get off at the Carnia Train station along the Udine-Tarvisio Rail Line. Both of the stations are about 40 Km from Sappada and frequent bus service is guaranteed for Sappada with the buses leaving the stations in connection with the arrival of the principal trains throughout the day. The closest international airports to Borgo al Sole are the Venice and Trieste International Airports.
